"I have been working with Trent's Team since October 2021. When I started working with non verbal students, first it was a huge learning experience. I learned how to use the communication devices for the students. I have been enjoying working with the non verbal students. Not only is it rewarding teaching them, it is also such a privilege. "Trent's Team has truly changed my life for the best. My name is Madyson and I'm a mentor here. I've been working here for about 2 years. Everyday when I come in I notice more improvement and progress in each client. This program has really helped a lot of clients open up and explore things outside of their comfort zone. We help, support, and encourage our clients to complete and excel with their personal goals, ranging from reading and writing more proficiently all the way to finding a paid working position. Watching each client blossom in different areas is really rewarding. I love working with each one of them and can't wait to see that their future holds!"

"I am a mentor at Trent's Team and almost everyday I am learning something or doing something new. I always love going to Trent's Team, meeting new students and having such fun with everyone. They all have a new story to tell, new stories to hear and laughs to share. In Trent's Team it is always so wonderful to see everyone's personality develop and flourish. The clients are always so full of joy and their laughter is contagious. As the clients grow and graduate they learn along the way and 4 have already got jobs and are on their way to the goals they have set."

"My brief experience so far with Trent's Team has been a fun introduction to a variety of personalities as well as cognitive involvements, in the age ranges of 18 to the 20's, and I have enjoyed very much the easy-going approach that is exhibited in each different area of care.; whether that is casual talking in the early morning to discuss the day before, and the week ahead, or, initiating activities with those who are non-verbal, in a pace that is comfortable for them. Or to discuss community involvements and activities that are of the interest to the client, which will adhere to their goals and abilities. Each client is different and has their own unique approach to circumstances, activities and conversations. In this program there is very little pressure, in fact zero pressure, indicated to meet standardized measures, but rather is more operative to allow each ability to work at a pace that is comfortable to them in a community environment. Oh yeah.... and snack time!!!"

"I have been in Trent's Team for 4 years. Trent's Team helped me get a job at the kennel in falcon. I get paid for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We go on field trips once a month. I am learning how to do sign language, math and spelling. We have a lot of fun and we do a lot of learning. I graduated from transition in 2021 and now I go to Trent's Team for day program."
